The Glow of Roses

I told you yesterday that I have been looking for new makeup/ beauty techniques and I found some great ways that are cheap, pretty natural, and effective. I am going to share my knowledge with you! (^_^)

Rose Water

The rose has so many jobs, doesn't it? Rose water in particular has a long history in folk remedies-- especially skincare. It's suitable for all skin types; dry, sensitive, and ageing skin in particular. It acts as a toner and astringent on the capillaries underneath the surface of the skin. Use of this eliminates the redness caused by enlarged capillaries. It's very soothing to irritated skin and acts as an antiseptic to acne. It is said to slow the process of ageing. And what a better way to refresh your tired skin in the morning?

You can buy "rose water" at beauty stores or health food stores. If you buy rose water, make sure the product contains 100% natural rose essential oil. Even though some products claim to contain rose products, the products may be synthetic and synthetic roses don't have the same effect. You can also make your own by adding a few drops of rose essential oil to water and a vitamin E capsule and a little optional coconut oil in a small bottle or spray bottle. Just shake,  put some on a cotton ball and dap onto your face and dap off before you put on your makeup. Throughout the day, spray rose water onto skin, or skin with makeup for a dewy, bright, glowing complexion.

Clean Makeup Brushes

If you wear makeup you most likely use makeup brushes to apply correctly and evenly, right? Using brushes daily without cleaning them builds up bacteria and old makeup in the bristles of the brushes-- some bacteria that can even cause breakouts and skin problems! Before you go out and spend money on some expensive brush shampoo, listen to this easy home remedy that works and gets brushes sanitised and ready for makeup application.

Use this at least once a week or every day if you have the time to let them dry (which takes about 5-10 hours depending on brush size).

antibacterial hand soap (or dish soap) {2-4 tablespoons}
olive oil (1 to 2 tablespoons)
witch hazel (2-3 tablespoons)

In a small bowl or dish, combine soap, olive oil, and witch hazel. Wet brush under luke warm water. Pour some mixture into hand and twirl brush in mixture. Squeeze brush and rinse under luke warm water until water runs clean. Put brushes on a towel in open air to dry. That's it! Just by doing that simple process, you are saving yourself from breakouts and skin problems and even dry brushes!

So Busy \(*O*)/

Oh hello! I've been so busy, sorry! I'm afraid no one will read my blog because it's getting so boring! I've been trying to find new makeup styles to do and practicing my photoshop skills! So, I keep procrastinating to go blog. I also decided to take up drawing anime again, but the pictures aren't ready yet so I'll post them when they are done!! I also meant to take some pictures, but I forgot! I promise some soon and I also promise to show you my anime drawings! Hope everyone has a great Sunday night and a good Monday!

Oh, yeah and here's Rosie Huntington Whiteley's(favourite model) makeup! Love the naturalness and freshness of this makeup. I also love the lip colour and the dewy skin!

The Randomness of My Life

Oh goodness, my life is full of randomness lately. Some of it being good :) , some of it being bad :(. So let me tell you everything. (I'm feeling pretty weird and hyper today, so don't mind that. Just warning you.)

First off, I'll go with the bad because I rather just get it over with, haha. So, it is now the second semester of school, to me that's bad because that means new classes not with my friends (T_T) , sadness. So, I was hoping for the best and having some classes with my friends, but it turns out I have classes with some friends and have a lunch with no friends (T_T). There is nobody I know in my lunch on B day, I think it is, and I mean none of my friends. So, what now? Skipping lunch to blog on that time, or sitting alone and feeling like a loser? Or maybe I'll sit with random people I don't know, NO! I would not do that! So, i don't know maybe I'll skip and just blog, sounds good right? Secondly, I want to complain about stress. If you have read my blog anytime in the past week, you know that I was very stressed out about midterms, well that's over now, and the semester change stressed me out even more, so I was double stressed. So guess what happened? Double breakout! I had like four spots on my face, something that rarely happens, thank god they are going away, well they are going away very slowly. So yeah, that is the bad randomness of my life.

Now, I'll tell you of my good randomness. First, midterms are over, which is a major relief, they went by so fast (@_@). I said that semester changes are bad with the lunches and everything, well on A days I have a good lunch with... people (*O*) yay! Happy (^_^). I am going to Florida on February holiday, which is AMAZING! I can't wait to get a tan and be in warmness! I get to miss one or two days of school for it too, oh yeah (!_!). I have also started working out more, since I don't like having no toned muscles. I like to do intervals of: cardio, kickboxing, pilates, and then yoga. I like cardio and kickboxing, but you need to do some stretches and such to keep your muscles lean and not bulky. I already feel it in my muscles. I have made a new friend, well not exactly new, but new to me. Her name is Victoria and she's super nice! So I guess you can say the good randomness cancels out the bad randomness, right?

Falsies Trauma

Today was my last day of finals! Woo-hoo!
So guess what that means???..............
I'll be blogging way more and about way more interesting things! Oh yeah, I'm planning on doing more than one post today because I can.

So, today I wanted to talk about falsies-- fake eyelashes.

I have only owned a couple of pairs of falsies, I didn't think you could buy them in just any store (haha, I'm dumb sometimes). The first ones were fine and of good quality, but way too natural. I bought them for halloween thinking they'd give me awesome cat eyes or something, but they just look like my lashes with a lot of mascara on. The second ones I ever had were semi cheap thick lashes like these, but these pictures were just found on google!...

I bought the second ones when I got really into gyaru, but when I put them on they were way too drastic. So when I bought circle lenses, I thought they would maybe balance out, but nope still too drastic and cheap fake looking. They also didn't reach each end of my eyes. So, I tried cutting some lashes of of them. So, they kind of looked like this when I was done with them, but a little thicker...

So, then I put on my circle lenses and my the changed falsies. And, the glue started melting into my eyes because my eyes were watering from applying soaked lenses. OMG, my eyes were stinging I thought I would go blind! I freaked out trying to take out the circle lenses and falsies, resulting in natural lashes being ripped out and very red eyes, wonderful! So, yeah thought I should tell you that horrible experience.

I think I'm going to try Katy Perry's new lashes that I read about on Bloomzy's blog for my next falsies, I try them, they sound good! Check them out!

Abandoned bows

I used to be SO into gyaru! USED to. I was always asking for new makeup, circle lenses, clothes, etc and always practicing my makeup and trying new techniques from scans and tutorials... but now I've noticed ever since I've seen the way a lot of gyaru's bash each other on the internet I haven't wanted to post pictures of MY OWN gyaru style for fear that I'll have to hear it. That is why, if your wondering, why I never post gyaru pictures. It also crushed my motivation.  I know it seems pathetic, but that is seriously why. If you've read gyaru secrets or seen some anon comments on your or other's blogs you'd probably understand. Of course, there is the time and money factor of the gyaru style. I NEVER have time to do that makeup and hair, which takes more than twice the time it takes to do my normal hair and makeup. So, I am not leaving gyaru, but I think that if I ever post gyaru pictures, I am going to make sure it's flawless and purely gyaru, although anons and such will still find something to say... *sigh*... I HAVE gotten mean anon comments on my blog before, but I delete them right away! I don't even care what they have to say, but sometimes I can't help but read the comments. I love my readers and followers that are SO kind and probably wouldn't say anything rude to me about my style, but there are people out there that live for bashing people, and I just DON'T want to hear bashing directed towards me.

No makeup

Good morning, or good evening for some of you!
Just woke up an hour or two ago!
No makeup yet, just my  bare face and bedhead!
Just thought I should take a picture to show you guys how I look with nothing on my face and nothing done to my hair!
I don't think it's that bloody awful, it's alright. My hair is weird (O.o) but my skin and eyes don't look that bad.

New haircut

hai hai, guess what? I got a new haircut!
(don't mind my un-retouched webcam photos)
Wow, I have barely any die left in my hair, can't wait for it to fully grow out! (^_^)
sleepy eyes (-_-;)

teehee slipper socks!

Yay! I finally got bangs and I didn't chicken out! I love my hair stylist because she keeps my length and gives me exactly what I have in mind!
How does it look girlies?

Oh yeah, and here's my cute little sister! She also got her hair done! OMG!
The stylist got her impossible-to-stlye-volume-filled-course-thick hair to be silky and straight! Too bad it won't stay that way!!!

haha, isn't she just adorable? I love her with bangs and a cute little bob hair cut!

meanwhile, here's a lyric video I made for my favourite song!

2 years without removing makeup

Yup, this title is exactly what it sounds like. The 20 year old, Korean girl, Bae Dal-mi you see below chose to wear her makeup 24-7 for... 2 YEARS.

She was considered to be very pretty, but that did not stop her from vowing never to be seen with her natural face. She reapplied and retouched her makeup for 2 years straight, never once removing it.

Bae Dal-mi fell in love with makeup at the at of 14. From then on she developed more and more skills with applying makeup. Soon, her makeup masked face was the face she was dependent on and never wanted to be seen without. Bae also revealed that she was dissatisfied with her appearance and had considered plastic surgery on 10 areas of  her face.

Even with family and at home, she became obsessed with makeup and chose not to remove it, even at night. "I wanted to look perfect at all times, I even slept with makeup on." she shares. Her most important item is a mirror and she makes sure to have one at all times to reapply and retouch her makeup-- applying layer after layer over her existing makeup.

Over two years, Bae has not used any makeup remover or cleanser to remove the makeup. Her mother, fed up with her daughter's makeup obsession, contacted a TV station to share her story and hopefully even convince her to remove her everlasting makeup mask.
During a variety, she visited with a dermatologist and a group of doctors that convinced her to FINALLY remove the two year's worth of un-removed layers of old makeup. After a skin checkup, they discovered that her skin was 40 years old-- two times her actual age. Not to mention the ton of small bumps that were hidden far beneath the makeup.

Early aging is just another horrible side effect of keeping makeup on for such an amount of time and not taking proper care of you skin. Not only is her skin now twice her age, she had immense clogged pores.

Makeup artists cleverly gave her makeup routine a makeover. They came up with a more natural alternative to her former makeup routine, one using a very small amount of makeup. Now she has discovered a new confidence in her new face and is happy with her appearance.

See ladies?
This is why you should always wash your face before bedtime. Over-wear of makeup causes early ageing and many other skin problems! If you want to look beautiful, take care of your natural face and embrace it with makeup, do not mask it with skin-killing makeup. Don't get me wrong, makeup is a wonder for anyone, but you should always remove it. Doctor's recommend that you wash your face before bed time, so go ahead and soap up and love that pretty face of yours!!!

real life anime

I like anime, I don't love it or hate it.
I like the big eyes and cuteness of anime
That is why I have made anime photoshop.
I wanted to have some fun.
For some of you this may be creepy, since it's like real life anime, but if you know anime and perhaps have seen real life anime photos, you might not get that scared.

Anyways, this is Nana Suzuki before the transformation:

This is Nana Suzuki after the transformation:

I love Nana Suzuki and I think she look so pretty without the transformation, but this was just for fun, I love doing natural photoshop, but I do get bored and want to do some extreme photoshop.

What do you think of extreme photoshop? Is is cool, scary, etc.?

*sigh* (e_e) I'm bossy

Oh boy, where to start. Hmm, well this weeks been so busy and absolutely freaking annoying! I've been studying for midterms and studying for midterms and studying for midterms (yes I know I just repeated that I'm studying for midterms three times). Plus, my blog is also important, but I just haven't updated in so long, it seems. It's only been a little, but I need to update sometime or people will get tired of my blog because blogs do get boring when you don't update often. So here is my random, nothingness update! I don't get why some teachers give me homework when I need to study a ton for midterms and don't really have time to do homework. Teachers have no feelings for students during midterms (-_-).

Also, one thing that makes me angry about midterms is that I'm too busy and stressed to do my makeup and hair. All I'm wearing right now is foundation, powder, and shimmery lip balm and one coat of mascara that I rushed on. I straighten my hair, but because of the stress it's flat and nothingness! I can't win. Haha, I complain a lot.

Something else that has happened to me this week is being told to change my nature. Yes, change myself for other people. I am NOT changing myself for other's fancy. I was told yesterday, not mentioning any names, that I was bossy and that I have an aggressive tone of voice and that I come across as... shallow. Yeah, I'll admit it, I am very demanding when it comes to certain situations and I stick up for myself and other's situations. My tone IS aggressive sometimes, especially when people are being quite aggressive with me. So maybe they should take the step not to be so aggressive to me in the first place if they are so upset about me being so aggressive with my tone. (>.<). I am shallow and quite selfish at times, but that's how I've always been. I have videos of me when I was two years old being selfish and mean to other toddlers. I'm not a mean person to people that accept me for me. I do care about what I look like constantly, I do insult bad people, and I do not tolerate people trying to change me. Does that make me a bad person? I was born a  shallow, bossy, and aggressive toned person and I can't change myself overnight. Actually, I can't change myself ever! Actually I could, but I refuse because I'm shallow and don't care about other people, haha (^_^) Oh well, if you treat me well enough you'll know that I'm actually a soft-spoken, honest, trustworthy person, and a great friend. I treat people they way they treat me, so be nice I'll be nice, be aggressive to me, I'll be shallow and aggressive with my tone.

☺ I'm Back! ☺

Hello there, I'm back after like a 6 hour drive (-_-;)
I got really, really bored on the way, so I took a bunch of random pictures! Yay, right?Haha!

Strange, my eyes look so green in these pictures...

The road I had to stare at for 6 hours...

These are in the nighttime, so they are dark (>.<)

Isn't the sky absolutely AMAZING?! (@_@)

Hehe, bored out of my mind!

So, I'll give a little update! Last night I watched three movies: Cape Fear, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, and Suckerpunch. I've watched both Cape Fear and The Hand that Rocks the Cradle before and they are both really good. They both make me very, extremely angry because I want the bad guys to die, desperately. This is my first time seeing Suckerpunch and it was okay, but SO confusing! I keep trying to figure out what the hell was going on! I still don't get it right now! Okay, I NEED to stop wondering, haha! Today wasn't very exciting because I was mostly traveling, which I think is only fun when you finally get to your destination. It feels so good to be home even though I really didn't want to go home because it was so lovely where we were! I can't wait to go back! Tomorrow's monday... I don't like mondays (-_-) I hope it's a good monday! Okay, enough of the randomness for now, good night!!!

☃❇ 5° Below 0 ❇☃

Yes, I did say that I wasn't going to be blogging this weekend... but what I didn't expect was to actually have wireless internet up here near Canada in the mountains! So, I got internet so now I can update with you! Anyways, it was very cold outside today, a low of -5 degrees below zero and a high of 10 degrees. Haha, a high of 10 degrees. This weekend has been so fun so far! It's been so pretty out despite the extreme unbearable coldness! The sun is so bright here during the day and the stars are so AMAZING at night (@_@)! And... there's SNOW, which I don't have much of back home, and I love snow, it's my favourite part of Winter. Yesterday, I went sledding in several places and on one hill, my face got covered in snow and then I didn't want to sled anymore. Today I went sledding on the hill near where we are staying, and it's mostly hard snow and ice so I didn't get snow in my face (^_^)! But, I did crash into a tree which was not fun (-_-). Yes, so, It's sunset right now and I took some pictures!

The forest behind our cabin

The prettyful sky

me in the sun (not making me warm, just being bright) with my fuzzy hood

me in the cold also with my fuzzy hood and natural hair and makeup... I look tired  (-_-)

Some cabins, trees, a big rock, and snow

my love, Spunky, freezing his tail off (i don't think you've seen him before, well, he usually doesn't like the camera, maybe he was too cold to run away (>.<)

My two sisters, Maiya and Holly sledding down the big, icy hill near our cabin

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend in Winter time!

❤My Photoshop Gallery❤

So, I made a video with all of the photoshops I have done!
I made it on YouTube so that's why I advertise my blog on it, haha!

I'm Stessin'

OMG! Midterms are coming soon! AH! It's scary! I need to study, study, study, study and then study some more. I cannot afford to fail these exams! They are a very big part of my grade and if I fail them I'm dead, very much dead. So that means that I won't be blogging big posts for a while, only short ones with some egopics and such before and during January 16th-24th. I will definitely still post, but not long time consuming ones.

Oh hey, by the way, I'm making a video of all of the photoshop I've done. I'll be posting it after finishing up some photoshops I'm currently working on! So that's something you guys can maybe look forward to! I also might make a random video of me doing my makeup because I'm weird like that and I feel like it and I've been really in the mood to make a ton of pointless videos, haha!

And guess what? I'm angry! I cannot make my blog have snow falling in the background and I really want to! It says to place the html code right above the <body tag and I can't find that on my blog html code, so what the heck do I do?!

Want a little sneak on what I'm going to be doing for my blog in the Spring? Well even if you don't I'm going to tell you a anyways. I am going to make a new header and I'm going to find out how to put falling flowers in the background. I am also going to change the background colour, font colour, etc. to be spring themed. So think light pinks purples and blues, some pretty pastel colours.

❤Some EgoPics For Ya❤

So, like I promised I took a few egopics. I realised I was really tired when I got home so I only took a few, there'll be more tomorrow!

❤❤❤Enjoy! ❤❤❤

I Feel Good Today

I think I might post some ego-pics today like Tirin suggested. I actually feel like i look good today and I don't feel that sick anymore, so just wait! Haha!

Sunday, January 8, 2012

Hai, busy weekend, it went by so fast , I've been sick. Sorry for the lack of activity!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Check back on Monday!
Sorry bad webcam pic after getting home from my doctor's office. Ignore it. This is my room anyways!

My Opinion on Ashely and Shiena

I've noticed that a majority of my traffic is from the keywords "ashley gyaru secrets", "shiena gyaru", "who is ashley and shiena", "ashley shiena visa", etc... So, here is my opinion on them.

I think there are far more gyarus to care about, why care so much about these girls? What did they do that was so important to make us waste time googling them? Why are they so famous? For making childish videos on Youtube, trying to get a visa, going out with hosts, what? I don't get it! Stop caring about their life, it's none of your business either, so don't bash them for what they do either. They aren't going to change for anons   and haters! So stop posting meaningless secrets and hates all around the internet trying to create drama with these girls that probably don't care what you have to say! So, just stop it girls, care about your own life!

Sorry, I had to vent. I felt the need to vent.

I'm sick

Don't pay much attention (or you can) to this post for I am just here to tell you I am sick... once again. I keep getting sick in the same way: sore throat, upset stomach, stuffy nose, nasal congestion, achiness, burning-out-of-my-head eyes, and a seal like cough. Well, it is flu season, so it should be expected. After this, I'm going to drink a ton of orange juice... or maybe not... after reading some articles about easier ways to keep yourself from getting sick. Here let me tell you!!

1. Let's start with the basics...
I mean, we all know this right? I would hope so, but don't use hand sanitizer. Are you surprised? I know I was! Well, hand sanitizer kills 99.9% of germs so what about that little 0.1% of germ left? It gets stronger and stronger until eventually it can make you sick. So just hot water and soap will do fine since it leaves behind some of the not very harmful bacteria that is naturally all over your body.

2.Drink Lots of Water
You're probably like, "what kind of tip is this?". Well, don't' be negative, let me explain. Our bodies are mostly made up of water and when you're dehydrated it stresses out your immune system. When you have a very stuffy nose and a scratchy throat it means dryness and dryness opens the immunity barrier and opens your body up to infection, which means you get sicker easier. So drink up!

Good night! Get some sleep, you won't get sick. Make sure to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night so your body has enough time to renew your immune system, which needs power to fight off those mean little germs.

4.Skip the OJ and Vitamin C Tablets
I know everyone turns into vitamin C ninjas when the flu season comes around. It isn't guaranteed that a vitamin C tablet will protect you from viruses and bacteria. Getting ALL the right nutrients is key. Eating a healthy and balanced diet with LOTS of fruits and vegetables will provide all the necessary nutrients your immune system needs to fight off sickness.

5.Get up!
In the winter you should really stay active. Staying active for at least 15 minutes a day reduces the stress hormone, Cortisol, and improves your immune system! So, get to the gym, get out your yoga mat, get your snow clothes on, heck run in place!

6. Mmm, Berries
I'm talking blueberries, cranberries, and... wait for it... acai berries! Don't eat the acai berries! Get the tablet! This little soft gel has so many antioxidants it raises your metabolism and immune system! Making a healthier you!

Hope this helped my fellow germaphobes!

❤Circle Lenses & Stuff❤

So, I finally managed to do the circle lens review I promised to do! Yay! I also added a couple more product reviews in here, that's your belated Christmas gift from me, not really!

P.S. I'm not feeling good, so I don't look that great in these photos, don't mind it. Just read the reviews and don't tell me I look tired or sleepy or sick because I already know, okay?

P.S.S These are only webcam photos, which means they are low quality photos, don't mind that either. I also had way too much fun taking these pictures so don't mind my O.O and @.@ or OoO okay?

❝EOS Candy Magic King Size Blue❞
I bought these lenses from HoneyColor. They have a wide range of circle lenses to choose from-- many colours and brands. They even sell Dollywink! They also have sales very often. So check them out sometime!

Brand... E.O.S, a.k.a Candy Magic
Colour... blue/aqua
Diameter... 14.5mm
Base Curve... 8.8mm
Strength... -0.00 plano (both eyes)
Effect... 16.5 mm

  • They are very opaque
  • They have a rich dark blue colour
  • The limbal ring is very dark
  • They create a wonderful wide-eyed, doe-eyed, dolly look.
  • They look good with pink!
  • They look slightly pixelated when close up
  • They look very light when not in the eye, which is deceiving since they are very dark when worn
  • They don't look very natural when close up
  • From far away they look black (but I'm OCD, ignore me)
Comfort ✭✭✭✭✩
At first I can feel them on my eye and it feels like I have an eyelash or some other kind of debris in my eye, but after a like 15 minutes I can't even feel them on my eyes! Sometimes I think they have disappeared.

Appearance ✭✭✭✭✩
I love the colour and dolly look of these lenses, but like I said in the downsides, they are very pixelated and unnatural when you look at them up close. A lot of people say they are creepy, but that's just because no one around my town has seen people wearing circle lenses, if I was in, let's say Japan, I wouldn't get that reaction.

Enlargement ✭✭✭✭✭
Five stars for enlargement! They have a 14.5 mm diameter and create a noticeable 16.5 mm effect! To me that's some big eyes!

↓Here are some more pictures of me wearing the lenses↓

Some other stuff I bought (from various places):
Oh, by the way, I'm wearing the circle lenses in these photos! (^_^)
I really, really don't like this picture at all, but whatever! What the heck? Why are my lips blue??? and why does my nose look huge??? Why is my fingernail red???  Ugh, I can' t win (T_T)
Rhoto C3 Moist Eyedrops
This makes my eyes go, "Ahhhh..." when I've worn my circle lenses for a few hours. It lubricates and moisturises the lens, reduces redness and irritation created from lenses, protects the cornea, replenishes the eye with vitamins (your eyes need vitamins?), and releases a cool feeling into the eye. I love these and they are a must in my purse!!!
Available at: HoneyColor.com

You can't see the product label or anything-- but I'll tell you, just wait okay??? Thought I should put it in my face because it's small and wouldn't be very noticeable otherwise; plus, I don't want that big nose disaster that seems to happen when I hold small objects (T_T)...
Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Shadow Duo
I absolutely LOVE this eyeshadow! Especially the lighter side! I don't like bright eyeshadows, so here's to the natural, golden look! The colour is called 24K Bold and the colours look like: medium matte brown with only a little bit of shimmer and golden flax with a lot of shimmer and sparkle. Looks lovely in real life, not on webcam since I was wearing this eyeshadow in all of these pictures (T_T)

Available at: Victoria's Secret (can get it at the VS store or catalogue too!)

Please don't ask about this photo (T_T) I don't even know... I just don't even know...
Victoria's Secret Runway Eye-Liner
Can you say "NEW FAVOURITE EYELINER?!" I love this eyeliner! It goes on so smooth and soft! It includes a smudger on the other end that is perfect for creating that winged cat eye look. The colour is called Extreme Black, which is basically a very rich, dark black.

Available at: Victoria's Secret (can get at the store and catalogue, as well)

That's all for now!!!
