sun and sand

I'm looking forward to these things:

I'm so excited! I'm leaving to go to Florida on Tuesday! It's going to be such a break from the weather here, ugh. I was going to do the makeup tutorial I said I was going to do, but I can't because iMovie was being mean and I had to turn in my laptop for repairs on Friday. Maybe, I'll make a beach tutorial after break since I'll be doing that type of makeup while in Florida. I'm kind of sad because I don't have many summer clothes so I'll be wearing jeans and t-shirts a lot of the time *sigh*, but at least  have a bikini. Oh yeah, I bought a new bikini, but I can't show you the real thing because I don't have a camera at all now, but I can show you the picture of it on the website! I bought it from Victoria's Secret.
I love the colour! It's called Got a Mint and I think it will go good with  my eye colour. It's weird because I usually don't buy green clothes, but I realised I need a change because my whole closet is teal, purple, and light pink. I bought just a simple string bikini because before this I had a balconet push up bikini that was very uncomfortable and it did not stay on. It was in a lilac so I loved it, but the top was just evil!

I think I might be going to Epcot or maybe Universal Studios while I'm there, which one is better? They both sound so cool, I can't decide!

Recipe: Amazing Smoothies

Okay, so I know I rarely ever blog about food, but I have found an amazing recipe for some wicked smoothies! They are both amazing and new and very healthy for you! What's not to love?  If you like trying cool, new things and like smoothies then you should totally try these recipes! (^_^)

Apple Nutmeg Smoothie
Ingredients:
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 7 ounces of apple juice
  • 7 ounces of coconut milk
  • 1/4 a teaspoon grated nutmeg
Add the apple with the coconut milk, apple juice, and nutmeg. Blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and sprinkle a little nutmeg on top for garnish. Makes 2 servings.

Lime Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 a cup of lime (sliced)
  • 3/4 a cup of low fat milk
  • 1 cup of low fat lime sherbet
  • 1/2 a cup of raspberries
  • 2 cups of ice
You can substitute key lime yogurt for the sherbet for a smoother, slightly different taste. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Garnish glass with a sliced lime.

Healthy Green Coconut Smoothie

Ingredients:
  • 2 bananas, frozen
  • 2 huge handfuls of spinach (you won't taste it, don't worry)
  • 1 cup milk (soy or almond is better)
  • 1/4 a teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
Add all ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth. Serve in a tall glass.

Rant: A Real Woman

People keep bringing up weight issues and such and so am I. For example Xiaxue talked about overweight Adele hating on skinny people. Well, I'm here to talk about how people think that overweight women are real women.

I hate when there is a picture of a fit model or actress on an article of a magazine or on the internet and I see comments on it such as, "That doesn't look like a real woman's body." or "When people get skinny like this, they aren't a woman anymore." Ugh, this makes my head fume. How is being skinny relevant to being a woman? Since when did being fat make you a woman? This is what I seriously don't get. A woman's body is a woman's body. We all have breasts, bigger hips, menstruation (gross, but true), and the same reproduction system. What our body does is what makes us a woman. Even though a girl might have slightly less curves than another girl doesn't make her a man and just because a girl has a BMI less than 25 does not make her have a penis! I don't mean to get provocative, but it's true. All woman are the same on the inside. Just because of what you see on the outside might not look like what we perceive what a woman should look like, does not change the sexual organs or sexual nature of a woman. No one has the right to say a girl is not a woman because she is skinny. Being overweight does not make you a woman, it's your anatomy and the way you are born that make you a woman. I bet an overweight woman wouldn't like it if skinny people said, "Ew, she's fat, she's not a woman."  A real woman is healthy and happy with herself and others. So everyone SHUT UP! A woman is a woman, despite her weight. Either you're a size 2 or a size 16, you're all women! And you know, sometimes it's your attitude that makes you a real woman (wink, wink). I mean if your a size 16 and bash a size 4 girl for not being a woman because of her size, I'm pretty sure that attitude  doesn't make you a woman either, it makes you a troll... if you want to go there. Just saying, don't take it too personally if you're overweight. I have nothing against overweight people, again I just hate one's that call skinny people a man because of being skinny.

Coordinating Eyeshadows

This is one of my biggest makeup pet peeves... Coordinating eyeshadow to your eye colour. What a way to un-enhance your eye colour! Here are some colours that will enhance your eye colour either it be blue or brown!

Blue Eyes: If you have blue eyes, obviously stay away from blue eyeshadows. Instead, turn to earthy tones, like brown, browns with a slightly purple base, taupes, slate greys, and rosey pinks.
❋Tip: subtle warm colours really contrast with cool colours creating a drastic "POP!" that still looks natural

Miranda Kerr wears golds, browns, and a rosy pink to enhance her blue eyes.

Green/Hazel Eyes: If you have green eyes, of course you should stay away from green eyeshadow (duh!). You should wear various shades of purple, mocha browns, taupes, earthy colours with a slightly orange undertone, and golds.
❋Tip: Hazel eyes usually have gold flecks so go for natural, earthy browns and taupes with hint of gold shimmer to bring out the gold tones in your eyes.
Rihanna wears purple and a gold with orange undertones to make her hazel/green  pop.

Brown Eyes: Brown eyes can get away with almost any colour of eyeshadow, except true browns, which can make brown eyes look quite muddy. Since brown looks good with almost every colour, it really comes down to the undertones in your eyes. Blue might look good with a very dark brown eye colour, and gold might look good with brown eyes with gold flecks. Greens look good with almost all brown eyes.
❋Tip: A pink colour will warm up brown eyes and make them look seductive and romantic and blue will tone down reddish eyes
Kim Kardashian with her dark brown umber eyes wears golds and a  blue eyeshadow

Weight Loss Help

I often see a lot of Gyaru going crazy on finding a way to lose weight fast and effectively, but a lot of them often go to drastic and sometimes unhealthy measures to lose that weight. You know, gals, there are many other ways to lose weight without starving yourselves, taking dangerous diet pills, and drinking that weird lemon juice and pepper concoction. Seriously, don't do that stuff and I'll tell you why.

Don't Listen to the Fads
  1. Starving/ Crash Dieting: The first thing many girls do when they first want to lose weight is starve themselves, which can be effective, but is totally damaging and wrong. Do you know how bad it is for your body to starve? First off, I caused many health problems such as: low protein levels, anaemia, heart problems, hair loss, brittle nails, skin conditions, tiredness, and pale skin. When you don't eat enough food for your body to function, your body goes into starvation mode, which is when your body senses itself being deprived so it stores whatever nutrients is gets as fat cells, this lowers your metabolism and slows weight loss. Also, if you ever stop starving yourself right away, your body will gain whatever weight it lost very quickly because your metabolism is down so low. So PLEASE DON'T do this!
  2. Diet Pills: I know all of you gals have seen the weight loss ads for diet pills in the back of gyaru mags such as: Ageha, Popteen, Ranzuki, etc... So you know that the girls on those ads look so photoshopped they don't even look human anymore? If the girls needed to be photoshopped before being put on those ads must mean that the pills don't have an extreme effect like they often claim. You should also be aware of the potentially dangerous effects of these pills: intestinal abnormalities (you know what I mean), abdominal pain, nausea, joint pain, extreme dehydration, anxiety, depression, metabolic syndrome, restlessness (insomnia, dizziness...), cardiovascular diseases. Those are just some of the effects. I'm sure you get the point that they are dangerous and not good even if they make you lose a few pounds!
  3. Fad Diets: I laugh when I hear about silly fad diets like the ABC diet, the Hollywood Fasting diet, and such because they are so STUPID! There is a gyaru website dedicated to the ABC diet. The ABC diet says that you should eat 400 calories on the first day and it gets lower and lower and then gets higher again after like one week I think. Anyways the ABC diet has the same effect as what I talked about in number 1! As for the Hollywood diet, which is a cleanse, raises your metabolism and flushes out water weight and toxins. Sounds good until you hear the unhealthy side effects such as: vitamin deficiencies, muscle breakdown, blood sugar problems, weakened immune system, increased bowel movements (Ew, gross, but true), loss of good bacteria in the digestive system, weight gain after fasting.
So now I hope you think again before believing any of these fads and unhealthy methods to lose weight. Now, I'll tell you healthy ways to lose weight. Ways that won't leave you bedridden and rushing to the bathroom. (^_^)

  1. Every thing starts with exercise. My biggest love is cardo workouts, and I'm not recommending it to you just because it's my favourite. It's one of the best workouts when combined with diet and strength training. While strength training makes your body strong, toned, and muscular, cardio makes your body long and lean. Strength training can be done at the gym on machines or in your home with various floor exercises. Cardio workouts that will burn hundreds of calories include: bicycling (at gym or on a real bike), running (treadmill or jogging), dancing, aerobics, step-climber (machine or real steps), and kickboxing (my love!!!)
  2. A CLEAN and HEALTHY diet is key to weight loss. I seriously recommend cutting out meat every other week, this allows your body to flush out toxins. I'm vegetarian all time and it has great effects on me, not to brag (^_^). Also, cut out bad carbs for a while (not full-time, maybe every other month or so) such as, bread, pasta, and white potatoes; and sweets like muffins, donuts, and cookies. Eat the good carbs like fruits, veggies, and sweet potatoes! They are your friends! Eat good fats, as well such as: fish, real butter (believe it or not), milk, olive oil, cheese, and nuts. These foods all help to burn fat, as well!!! Also, you can treat yourself to something sweet once a week, just make sure to cut out something else you usually eat so you don't go over your calorie limit!
  3. Drink WATER!!! Water flushes out toxins, bad bacteria, raises your immune system, and allows your live to work properly and that means your metabolism raises. It also helps with with feeling of being bloated for it also carries out trapped water weight. It sounds boring, but it really works, trust me. At least drink 64 oz. of water a day. Keep big water bottles of water in various places like your car, purse, in different rooms of your house, etc... You'll drink a TON of water without even knowing!
  4. Have confidence in yourself! If you're always down on yourself, you'll probably overeat in frustration, but if you know you're going to be hot then you will drive yourself to get to where you want to be! Meditate to relax and picture yourself at your goal weight, tell yourself that you are beautiful and you're goal weight (whatever it is 120 lbs., 130 lbs, 110 lbs, etc...) do this 15 times and that will set your mind to it! Look in the mirror and say, "I'm getting there!" instead of going, "Ew, my butt could be smaller and my thighs are HUGE!!!" Have confidence, it really works!!!
Now, if you're trying to lose weight, you should know that you can be healthy doing it! I hope this helped! I hate to see people succumb to freaky and unhealthy diet tricks! Exercise, eat well, stay hydrated, and love yourself!

❤XOXO❤

Opinion: Anons

I'm seriously sure you all know (or maybe you don't know yet) that I don't have a fondness for anonymous people on the internet. Well, I have seen a lot of anonymous activity going on around the gal community and of course, I've made it clear, I DO NOT like it. I've even had anonymous people comment on my blog! So now I am going to vent about stupid anonymous people.

***WARNING: this is a very long rant.

First, I'll start off with a little message to the mean, stupid, worthless anons that have made a visit to my blog:

Dear Anons,
I don't care if you read my blog, go ahead, but please don't waste your time trying to get attention or start something because I'm not the kind of person to get all upset over some stupid weak comment on a blog post. I especially don't care when that comment is titled "anon" or "anonymous". Blogger moves all "spam" (or mean) comments into the spam box anyways and when I see that there are comments in my spam box, I just hit delete! Oh, well, you wasted your time. So stop making a fool of yourself and just leave if you don't like me. Like, just because your fat, lazy, and ugly, with no friends doesn't mean you can bash other people that aren't like you. No one wants to be fat, lazy, and ugly with no friends. Even if you're not fat, lazy, and ugly, with no friends, bashing people that don't deserve it makes you that. So, bye-bye anons. I hate you!
Love,
Yumi

Okay, so now let's talk about anonymous people in general. We all know that they comment and bash endlessly about other people on the internet. I know you've all seen it. And if you're are one of those anonymous people reading this, then you do it all the time, don't you? Well, most people I've seen just delete the anon comments on their blogs, but some of them leave them there to maybe humiliate the stupid anons, or maybe they don't care about the anons, so they don't waste their time actually going through and deleting their comments? All I know that even if people agree with and anon, they are weak people because obviously they aren't strong enough to say it as their real identity. Why? Most likely because they are just bashing a person to make themselves feel better. That's weak and it disgusts me.

Also, many people are not even bothered by the comments, but have you ever thought that maybe some people are actually hurt by the things some of the anons say? Even though they may act like they aren't bothered by it, deep down, that anon might have seriously hurts the feelings of that person. There is nothing right with living to hurt someone's feelings. It's a sick way to live.

Take this for example: a gyaru that is of a perfectly normal healthy weight is called "fat" numerous times by anons on her pictures she posts even though she's not even close to being fat. That girl used to struggle with her weight when she was younger and used to have a serious eating disorder, and then by hearing that, what kind of effects do you think bashing her has on her mind? She probably will end up having an eating disorder again. Then, how does any person live with themselves after causing damage to a person's life? I know not everyone knows what goes on in everyone's life and no one expects you to know that, but it still doesn't give you the right to bash someone. It's simple really. Just: think before you speak!

How about on gyaru secrets? People endlessly bash gyarus because of makeup and clothing and appearances. Well, maybe people should give constructive criticism instead of bashing someone. Since those those anons posting those secrets know so much about gyaru and they are the perfect gyaru, then why don't they give some of their expert advice about gyaru to the person they are bashing for having now skill? You know why they don't? Because: 1. Some of those people aren't gyaru at all! 2. They aren't good at gyaru themselves and they can't except that fact 3. They are ugly, lazy, lonely losers at home that have nothing better to entertain themselves 4. They are jealous!

Anons also show no sign of self respect at all. They bash people and criticise people and act like they are great when everyone knows they are not. So, just stop wasting your time and making yourself look like a stupid, worthless, ugly person. It's getting old and more and more people are getting sick of you, sooner or later no one is going to care about you and then you'll have to actually face people.

Grow up and face reality.

Easy, Breezy, Beautiful...

So, some of you might recognise the slogan in the title... do you know what I'm talking about?
COVERGIRL!

Yep, that's right. Covergirl. A lot of snooty and pompous makeup critics would go, "Ew, Covergirl is so cheap, blah, blah, blah.", but I think not. Covergirl is cheap, but GOOD. Just because a brand of makeup is on some highstreet store doesn't automatically make it bad makeup. Especially Covergirl. It's on of the biggest makeup companies out there and millions of girls use it, including me. I, personally, love Covergirl. And I'll share with you some of my favourites. (^_^)

Clean Foundation
This foundations is the best foundation I have ever used! It's cheap and it is really lovely! I buy the one for sensitive skin, which is the green label. It's hypoallergenic, oil-free, and scent free. It's not cakey at all. It seems like a really thick formula, but once you put it on, it feels lightweight and like it's not even there. I use the Covergirl Clean compact for sensitive skin, as well. I just recently bought that since I usually use Yves Rocher translucent powder. But when I noticed how pink the Yves Rocher powder was compared to my natural skin tone, I stopped using it and bought the Covergirl compact and it matches my skin tone perfectly. It has pink and yellow undertones and looked flawless over the foundation. *** It comes in three skin types: sensitive, normal, and oily, and the shades are relatively natural. No weird pinks or overly oranges.
TruConceal
First thing: AMAZING! I can never find a concealer that matches my skin tone! I don't know what it is with my skin tone, but it's so hard to find makeup that matches, but this concealer matches exactly. There are also little sparkles in it that highlight and brighter your face. It's smooth and very sheer, but has very good coverage.

LashBlast Luxe
I like this mascara because it volumizing and... sparkly! It has metallic sparkles and tints to add emphasis on your eye colour to enhance and make your eyes look all bright and sparkly! It comes in like a sparkly silver-black, black-red, black-green, and black-blue. It does have quite the weird smell, but it's worth it.

Exact Eyelights Mascara
I love this mascara for the daytime because it's really light and natural looking, but it enhances your eye lashes and eye colour by adding metallics and light pigments that are natural complementary colours. It has a eye enhancing shade for every eye colour. But the sad thing is I barely ever see this mascara anymore, I ran out and I never see it at the store. Did Covergirl stop making it?
Wetslicks Amazemint Lipgloss
When I first saw this advertised I thought it was so stupid. Who cares about minty lipgloss anyways? Well, I decided to try it anyways because of all the good reviews. So, when I tried it I instantly fell in love with it. I guess it's infused with Crest peppermint essential oils which freshen your breath while wearing it and with frosty sparkles. So it's like a "fresh" lipgloss, if you must. It smells and even tastes really good! At first I bought Happyhour, which is blue, but goes on clear and then I bought a nude colour (I forget the name). The shades are so pretty and natural and they are minty!
These are my favourites and I have yet to try all of the other wonderful products from Covergirl. I think the next thing I will try is TruBlend foundation and mineral powder.

What are your favourites from Covergirl?

OMG

OMG! I haven't blogged in forever! Well, there are MANY reasons, well several reasons why. And I shall tell you!

  1. My beloved computer's screen is broken, so I had to use a spare (T_T) I don't know what happened, but I woke up to check my email and my stats, and "BOO!" my screen stared back at me with random lines of purple, grey, and blue and a big fat black line down the left side! What happened?! I didn't drop it or smash it. OH, I am so very sad and upset about this. At least my lovely ITT people are replacing my screen! OH, thank you! (^_^)
  2. The wireless in my house is down. That means no internet, which means no blogging (-_-;) UGH, something or someone is trying to stop me from blogging, huh? So, I am using my neighbour's wireless... Um, no, I didn't ask, but it's okay right? Oh well, I NEED to blog!
  3. I've been thinking about something to blog about. Don't worry, I got some makeup and beauty tips and such coming up. I also need to go buy some red lipstick for my Winter makeup tutorial, which I am doing today, so that video will be soon... very soon. I think I might be making more videos soon.
So that's it for that little update, I'm off to go make some tip posts and stuff like that, so see you later? Oh, definitely!

XOXO

(no special characters on this dinosaur, so no cute little hearts like usual (-_-;)

Caked Up Makeup= bleh

Have you ever had one of those days when you apply foundation or powder and you look and see a big cakey mess that makes your skin feel horribly suffocated? I know most have had this experience and it's not a pretty one. The purpose of foundation is to perfect and smooth imperfections, but sometimes it sits on top of skin and inside of pores creating a not so natural and cakey looking finish that nobody wants.

Here's some simple ways to avoid unnatural cakey makeup!

 1. Apply a face primer: Think of painting walls in your home... you apply a primer before painting to smooth out the surface of the walls-- the same way a face primer smooths out the surface of your skin and prepares it for the application of foundation. This is a recently new standard of makeup products. If you have dry skin go for a sheer or silky primer, if you have oily or combination skin go for a matte primer. For a sheer primer I recommend Clinique Pore Minimizer Instant Perfecter and for a matte primer I recommend MAC Matte Cream.

  2. The right colour: This is pretty self explanatory! How many times have you gone to buy foundation, thinking it will match your skin colour, to go home and find that it is orange or maybe too pink.  Your foundation should not be darker or lighter than you neck. However, you skin tone does change throughout the year so make sure you get the right colour depending on the season. A good way to check the colour of your foundation is to swipe three different shades of foundation that you think might match and pick the one that is closest to your natural skin tone.

  2. Don't apply too much foundation: The first thing a lot of people do when they see a blemish or discolour they panic and pile on the makeup to cover it. This may cover the blemishes fairly well, BUT there's the risk of piling up and looking like a mask! what you should do is apply a thin layer  just to even out your overall skin, then go with a light concealer on just the blemishes. One way to know you have applied too much foundation is to take a tissue and dab it onto your face after applying foundation. The makeup that shows up on the tissue is the makeup that is just extra sitting on top of the  skin!

3. Apply powder only to oily areas: This is one key step! ONLY apply powder to the areas on your face that tend to get oily. If you have dry skin, you may want to skip powder altogether. If you MUST have a totally matte face, then the trick is to apply a thin layer with a velvety powder puff!

6. Mist setting spray: This is totally optional. You should only do this step if you skin looks dry after applying makeup. This sets your foundation and gives a suble glow because it "melts" the powder into your foundation. Skip this step if your skin is oily because it could cause your skin to look even more oily. A good product for this is Mac Fix + another is just rose water spray like in my Glow of Roses post!

7. BLEND!: This is one of the most important steps in applying foundation! Personally it is the most important step! One of my biggest pet peeves is blotchy makeup and foundation lines! Blend with a sponge or foundation brush starting at the forehead and blending in circular motions. Continue onto the jaw line and hairline until the foundation looks seamless! Apply some foundation to your neck, as well.

And there you have it! A few simple and easy ways to get flawless natural looking foundation! Enjoy your flawless look!

A Little Update

Hai, I've made my decision to do a winter makeup tutorial since I got barely any suggestions (T_T).... (-_-;). So expect to see that video sometime before the end of February. I might do it today maybe tomorrow, I don't know when, but I'm going to do it.

The makeup might look something similar to this... with less eyeliner...

I am going to Florida on February holiday, if you don't already know. I'm not going to big cities, but just nice peaceful suburban Florida! I can't wait to get a tan and walk around in a bikini. Something that makes me miss summer time! Oh my god, I just can't wait! \(*O*)/

This is where I'm going-- Jensen Beach, Florida... how pretty?!

  1. Rosie Huntington- Whiteley
  2. Gyaru Inspired
  3. Candy
  4. Winter - 1 vote

Anyways, I'm going to be redoing my header soon to fit valentines day! Maybe I'll even add some new animations! And maybe I'll even change the colour scheme! Yes, I like change, actually I NEED change! The valentines template will be short lived however, for I am going to then make a spring template, then a summer, and fall, and winter again, so on! Yeah, I already got ideas for all!!! Happy Monday!

Tutorial Ideas...

I've been thinking and I kinda really want to make a makeup tutorial video. Nothing that special, but just a nice video since you've only seen pictures of me and you've never seen me actually put on my makeup... so, there! But the thing is I don't know what kind of makeup to do for the tutorial.

Can you help?
*Just pick one of the makeup tutorial ideas below and answer in comments*

  1. Rosie Huntington Whiteley: You know Rosie's my favourite model and her makeup is easy, natural and gorgeous-- bronze and taupe eyeshadows, smoky liner, peachy blush, and big pink lips...
  2. Gyaru Inspired: I say inspired because I don't want to make a video on full gyaru since I don't have falsies and to me gyaru does not look complete or natural without something to balance out the circle lenses-- so dramatic eyes is the most part and cute dollyness (^_^)...
  3. Candy: Girly pink and purple eyeshadows, bright blusher, and a candy pink lip
  4. Winter: Sparkly whites and golds, warming blush, matte skin, big lashes, and red lips
  5. Glowy: Natural and clean--matte skin, nude lip, light eyeshadows, and bronze complimenting colours

Good Night!
Sweet dreams prettifuls!

oh how I wish I had some falsies right now...

☀hanuman ☀

Hai!
I just finished an hour and a half of Hanuman yoga. Wow... intense... you have to be advanced in yoga if you want to do the Hanuman type. It gets confusing if you don't know the terms and you're not flexible!

So, I took several random pictures. Just my face, my lovely face (^_^)... hehe kidding. Yeah, so my sister thinks I should stop pursing my lips when I take pictures... the thing is... I can't (@_@) it just happens, every time I see a camera. So, isn't pouty lips a trend or such???

Oops, my bad, I pursed my lips (^.<)

See sister, I pleased you, I smiled (^_^)... (-_-;)

Artisticness with film grain, poster edges, and sharpens. Oh yeah (^_^)

Oh, yeah, guess what? I am almost done with my anime drawings!!! I will only put them up when I am totally done, okay?!
