Venus Angelic & Xiaorishu

Do you know VenusAngelic? If you don't she's a Youtube's "living doll." She makes makeup and beauty tutorial videos on Youtube. She's especially famous for her baby-like voice and living doll look.



She seems like a very nice and sweet girl. That's what many fans and viewers of her videos thought including Youtuber, Xiaorishu. Xiaorishu makes parody videos and vlogs and she's super funny.

If you've ever watched a VenusAngelic video you probably know about the thousands of hate comments. Well, Xiaorishu made a video supporting Venus and sticking up for her! Venus tweeted her and commented on her video saying 'thank you'. And then Xiaorishu got an email from Youtube forcing her to take down the video. The person who reported the video was no one but Venus herself. Xiaorishu let it go like an awesome person she is and moved on. But after going out with her friend, Xiao decided to watch more of her videos and leave a nice comment and she found out she was BLOCKED! Xiao let it go again and then more and more of her friends were getting blocked from Venus' videos after leaving nice comments. Pretty soon A LOT of people were blocked.

Xiao even found out that Venus' mother was behind Twitter and Youtube accounts that were harassing her and her friends. WTF?! There's even proof that Venus' mother has harassed people and even threatened to sue people for copying her daughter and using her content and making mean articles.

The hate went back and forth on Facebook and Twitter between Xiao,  Xiao's fans and friends, Venus, Venus' fans, and multiple anonymous accounts. LIES spilt right out of Venus' mouth trying to make Xiao look bad. Why would she do that? What is the point of all this hate from Venus and her mum?

This just goes to show you that with a strive for fame comes a sense of mental instability? Maybe just a stronger hunger for fame. The look of a nice video looked to Venus as if Xiao was trying to get Venus' fans and Venus striked back at the fear of losing fame. I don't think this is the case, but it could be right? Who knows? This whole thing is freaking crazy!

Cosmetically Crooked Teeth

I heard of this "kawaii" trend in Japan called Yaeba which basically means crooked teeth. In Japan crooked teeth are considered cute. It can be, trust me. Take a look...

Cute, kawaii, adorable, yes? 

I have to say having crooked teeth is cute, yes, but when people with Yaeba are like "crooked teeth are the new straight teeth" people without Yaeba go "ME WANT!"So, they go to their cosmetic dental surgeon and ask for crooked teeth. 

You've probably heard of people getting their teeth straightened with veneers that make you look like a horse (I'm just kidding, but veneers make you look like a horse sometimes). Have you heard of people getting their teeth crookened (that's not a work is it?).

 Well, I don't think it's a bad thing, I just think it's bizarre. I don't think getting your teeth straightened is a bad thing, so getting your teeth made to look crooked is like the same thing right? Well, I guess it was a pretty big trend in Japan. So I'll show you some pictures of the surgeries. 

You see? They insert like little fangs to make your teeth look uneven and crooked. 

I'm sorry, but when I see these Yaeba teeth, all I think of is my poodle's underbite that sticks out of his lips like Yaeba teeth. I also think of a vampire O.o 

People Like Stupid Stuff

Just a little note before we start: This goes out to everyone, including me. I'm no hypocrite, I'll admit to the stupid things I like. 


I've noticed, while sifting through stats on my blog today, that the stupidest, most meaningless posts on my blog have the most views while the posts that I put a lot into and take a whole lot of time to write have the least views. Why is this?

Because people like stupid things! 


This is mostly on the internet. People look up things on Google search that are pretty pointless and I've done it before, too. Like the search keywords on my blog, they are simply laughable. But I'm not complaining, they are pretty creative and that's probably the only way anyone will find my tiny blog. Some funny ones I've had on my blog are:

Some of these are simply unexplainable to why the heck they found my blog this way! How does my blog have anything to do with this? Am I the only one with this problem?

Now how about why people look up these things? You know why? It's because of our nature. People are naturally curious about other people. We want to know about the behaviours of other people. It's just natural. Nobody can help it. And you're not going to tell me that you've never searched or looked at something weird or stupid on the internet before. If you do, you're lying. The internet is the only place people can go to find out about people without that person knowing who you are. Most likely you don't know the people that you're searching and looking at on the internet, right?

The internet is basically made for that anyways! I mean why are the weird and stupid things that you're being weird by searching even there in the first place? Because people are curious about other people. If it's out there, people, go ahead and look at it. It's not you're fault they put their weird and stupid stuff on the internet for weird people to see.

So, I know if you are reading this post right now, you've probably entered some weird or stupid search keywords... just kidding! I think this post is pretty safe. I mean what are they going to enter to find it?

Gyaru Makeup ギャルメイク 2012

I found some J-mag scans of Happynuts April 2012 and Popteen March 2012 and picked some pictures of makeup to make a lovely little pic spam of the new  gyaru makeup trends of this year. I've been blogging about gyaru more lately, so happy (≧.≦)" 

Sorry to interrupt, but I gotta say I'm loving the look of the 2012 gyaru makeup, it's natural but stunning, like makeup should be. I think I just might try this out. I wasn't that into the loads of makeup trend that was going on before. Now it's much more cleaner and fresher looking and much more natural.

♕ Cat Eyes ♕

I've got to say I'm in love with the "cat eye" look. It's sweet and cute, but also sultry and edgy looking. I usually do a light cat eye makeup when I go out and sometimes when I go to school. I usually do a natural cat eye gyaru makeup, as well, when I have the motivation and time. So, I just wanna give some tips on a regular cat eye and a gyaru cat eye. 

The Basics

This is a relatively easy eye makeup style. It's pretty versatile too and will look good on everyone with every outfit. First we start with the eyeliner shape. 

This is a close up of how the shape of eyeliner should be. This is the basic shape of all cat eye makeup. 

You get this by starting at the inner corner and applying a thick line along the upper lash line. When you get to the outer corner you pull the eyeliner up making an up-facing wing. A way to be exact is to point the wing up towards the end of your eyebrow. Liner is also sometimes applied from the tear duct along the waterline, until it means the bottom of the wing you made. 

The eyeshadow is easy. It should be light or not there at all. Since the eyeliner is dark, dark eyeshadow could over-do the whole look and look a little too intense. So a champagne, cream, light gold, or even a light bronze or brown are all wonderful choices. Colours like light purple, pink,and mossy green are also used often. The shadow should go on your lid and under the eye, below the waterline. Eyeshadow on the browbone is common too, but should be a shade lighter than the colour on you lid. 

Styles 

The cat eye can be light and natural or intense and bold. It can also be dolly and sweet--as in gyaru. So I'll give examples of all three. 

Light 

This "light" technique is achieved by applying a champagne or light gold, or maybe even light pink eyeshadow on the lid and below the water line. 

The eyeliner is the basic cat eye shape with no liner on the waterline. You can use white liner, however, for a more bright eyed look. 

Mascara should be thickly applied on the top lashes only, especially at the outer lashes. No falsies should be used in this look. 

This look will result in a natural everyday type eye. 

Intense

This bold and edgy look is achieved by applying light eyeshadow in either champagne, gold, or bronze on the lid. No eyeshadow is applied below the water line because you're trying to achieve a sharp look rather than a soft, natural look.

 The liner, preferably liquid in this case, is applied thin from the inner corner, pulling down past the tear duct, like an arab eye, but gets thicker as you move along the lash line-- the liner should almost reach the crease of your eyelid and the wing will be thick and long. Then, eyeliner is applied thinly from the tear duct, along the water line making a dip and applying thickly as you reach the outer bottom corner. It should meet the wing. 

The eyelashes in this case should be thinly coated with mascara because of the darkness of the liner, it will be over done. 

This look is good for going out at night or for a more formal event. This look is, however, most likely too dark for everyday eye makeup. 

Dolly 

I think this look is my personal favourite. It's very sweet and dolly, making it a staple for gyaru makeup. It's achieve by wearing circle lenses to begin with, then applying gold or bronze eyeshadow on your lid and cream or champagne below your waterline and inner corner. 

A gel, liquid, or soft pencil liner is applied from the the lower inner corner, pulling down, making an arab eye, then leading up and along the lash line, making a thin wing leading up like usual. The liner should not be thick. Pencil liner should be applied along the outer corner of the waterline. No liner should be applied all the way along the waterline. 

This is a close up of how the liner should look. 

False eyelashes should be used in this case. They should be long and tapered at the end. Tapered gives a more dolly cat eye. Apply mascara along your natural eye lashes after putting on the falsies to bind the natural lashes and false lashes. 

This look is good for a more natural gyaru eye makeup. It's good for every day gyaru, which is why I love it so much.

I really like astrology! I bet you didn't know that, unless you're my sister or something. But I believe in horoscopes because believe it or not they are usually true or somewhat close to true most of the time. And it really sucks when a bad horoscope comes true, just telling you.

❀Fresh Face❀

So, I wanted to bring up something that's been interesting and pretty darn remarkable to me lately. Well, maybe not that remarkable, but... whatever. So, let's get on with it, shall we?

I think a fresh face with less makeup is prettier looking than a face plastered with makeup.

Why? Because...

first off, it's better for you, I mean that's pretty important for your pores to be clean, no further explanation needed.

It looks cleaner! And it feel fresher and freer during the day. You know how cakey makeup can look right?... no? okay well it looks like this...

It brings out your features! Hard to believe right? If you wear too much makeup, certain features can be left out! Like a lot of eyeliner can make your eyes look smaller, or too much foundation could make your cheek bones look less defined, or too much eye shadow could distract attention away from your beautiful eye colour. We don't want that now do we??

It looks like you! Usually all that makeup makes you look like someone you're not, well less makeup can bring out your features and still look like you

Makeup is for improving your appearance. It's common knowledge, come on! And when you wear a lot of makeup, sometimes you look worse and stranger than your actual self.

So, just take those extra steps to wear a neutral colour eyeshadow, because neutral colour will bring out your eyes! It's as easy as a gold or taupe eyeshadow.

And go for a fresh, natural face makeup. Such as a tinted moisturiser instead of a heavy foundation. You might find this feels better too! And even try a lighter blush for a warm, rosy glow, or a sunny bronzer to create a sun-kissed radiance. A nude or neutral pink lip will also add some oomph to your natural face.

Even gyaru makeup can be natural! With less makeup you can still have that true gyaru look! This is for all you gyaru lovers out there because, yes, I still love gyaru!

So, get out there and embrace your true beauty! It's what you were born with, so flaunt it... PROUDLY! 

❤Bass❤

Like I said a while ago, I wanted to start playing bass. Yeah, well, my super friend gave me one of his old bass guitars. It's an old Fender brand, but it sounds really nice, and it's the perfect size for me. I got it on Friday and I started trying to figure it out, but I just had no idea what I was doing. So, I did some research (bada$$ research, eh) and I caught on immediately.

I thought I would never figure it out and would have to hire a teacher already. I don't want to hire a bass teacher and know nothing at all-- I would feel and look stupid. (No, I don't like to look stupid in front of experienced people, ok?) So, I felt so much better when I figured out the strings and frets and all that jazz.

On Saturday, I looked at some tutorials on how to play some easy songs on bass and guess what I found? A tutorial to play Feel Good inc. by the Gorillaz! (for those who don't know, Gorillaz= favourite band ever, got a problem, eh?) That song has the prettiest bass line known to mankind! Not, really, but close to it! So, I tried and failed a few times and then I played it. F*ck Yea moment! So, give some praise! My first song on an instrument I know barely anything about! It's a big accomplishment for me, okay?

Next song I really want to play is Come As You Are by Nirvana. Another pretty bass line. Wanna listen? Sure you do.
